چکیده

In this study, an improved double distribution function based on the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is applied to simulate evolution of non-isothermal cavitation. The density field and velocity are solved by pseudo-potential LBM with multiple relaxation time (MRT), while temperature thermal LBM-MRT. First, proposed model verified Rayleigh–Plesset equation D2 (the square droplet diameter) law for evaporation. results show that simulation identical corresponding analytical solution. Then, study cavitation bubble growth collapse in three typical boundaries, namely, infinite domain, a straight wall convex wall. For case successfully reproduces process from expansion compression bubble, obvious gradient exists at surface bubble. When collapses near wall, there no second if distance between relatively long, inside increases as increases. close lower edge evolves into sharp corner during shrinkage stage. Overall, present shows can accurately predict including heat transfer. Moreover, interaction fields included first time.

Using Lattice Boltzmann Method to Investigate the Effects of Porous Media on Heat Transfer from Solid Block inside a Channel

A numerical investigation of forced convection in a channel with hot solid block inside a square porous block mounted on a bottom wall was carried out. The lattice Boltzmann method was applied for numerical simulations. The fluid flow in the porous media was simulated by Brinkman-Forchheimer model. The effects of parameters such as porosity and thermal conductivity ratio over flow pattern and t...
